If I were in the market for a new TV I would welcome the 'smart' features. I believe most of the newer medium to larger size sets are 'smart TVs'.
We have a 2020 model year Samsung 75" 'smart TV' that I am very pleased with.
I was able to eliminate 3 external boxes and the associated clutter of cables because the 'smart' TV has those capabilities built-in through downloadable Apps. Comcast/Xfinity CableTV + Netflix, AppleTV, Amazon Fire TV. Many other Apps are also available for the TV but the ones I listed eliminated the need for our external devices.
