"The yellow jersey was contested to the very end" No it wasn't

It was conceded by a handshake in stage 18. But it was over in stage 11.

Stage 11 was the only stage where Vingegaard was visibly going 100% and he took almost 3 minutes out of Pogačar. I watched stage 12 to see if Pogačar could come back. He tried his hardest on L'Alpe d'Huez but couldn't even get a grimace out of Vingegaard. There wasn't much to watch after that. By the Pyrenees, UAE only had Bjerg, McNulty, and Hirschi left, and Hirschi wasn't really up for the tour, he was a last second replacement for Matteo Trentin.

And yeah, the green jersey set a new points record, and that's bad, because the green jersey competition this year was about the worst I've ever seen in 40 years of watching the race. Wout van Aert took it on stage 2 and by stage 4 it was basically over already.
