...for one, they've gotten smaller. They also get "stale" now. The "old" Twinkies never went "stale". You could leave them on the dash or back deck of your car for years in the blazing sun or brutal winters and they were "inert" or "immune" to degradation. They were even briefly gone from the market (around 2011 IIRC) when Hostess went bankrupt (how/why, I have no idea). But when they came back, they're not the same.
