I don't see the correlation between the security lapse that led to 1000s of Israeli deaths being adjudicated by death and destruction in Gaza. The lack of security at those border crossings was an invitation for a terrorist invasion. As if Israeli security forces allowing a known enemy out for Israeli blood to take it is somehow less worse than taking it is what bothers me. From my POV it's more worse. Ignoring that point it becomes cover your ass and carte blanche for military action. Spin, politics and war as usual.
