I watched a football game at my friend's house a few days after our idiotic invasion of Iraq. He was all rah-rah, we're kicking somebody's ass, America, fuck yeah!
But in the next breath, "But they better not think they're getting my kids to go fight!"
And there you have it in a nutshell. At best, we'll ignore wars like Iraq and Afghanistan even if we don't support them, just as long as we aren't asked to fight in them or pay for them.
We're anti-war for all the wrong reasons, but does it matter?
