BTW, that reverse-slant rear window opened. Large center pane slid down into the body of the car. An uncle of mine--not the same uncle who owned a '56 Buick, but the other uncle who was a Mercury guy--had a '63 Mercury with the same window, called "Breezeway" by then, and it really worked well. Took a ride in the '63 Merc one summer evening and Unk lowered the window, opened the vent windows up front, and the car stayed nice and cool inside.
