I just flipped the 'reset' and it held.
I went and tried the back light and it worked fine.
While everyone had an idea....and that GFI breaker is not off the hook, yet, it DID reset.
Now? One common idea was MOISTURE. I only gave it about a 60% chance....a little over 'even odds' of being the case.
But NOW? Looks a LOT BETTER. MY baack wall of the house, with the outside outlet and fixture both effected were in BRIGHT SUN most of the day...
I could go on the hunt, sometime in the future for a LOOSE GROUND which is now nearing the top of the list.
On ia sidenote? I already found a bad ground in the overhead fixtures in the kitchen. I had a couple bulbs (4 foot fluorescent) crap out. Replacing a bulb did ZIP so Im down to ballast. these are 35 year old fixtures, so a Ballast is not out of the question.
And LED TYPE 'B' will clip right in with a MINOR wirign mod. But up top? the ground post nut was not quite finger tight. Maybe hanging by 3 threads.
I think these houses could have benefitted from another couple hours of labor in EACH of the major categories.
Plumbing (we had Quest Plastic) RECALLED
Poor electric detail
NOT straight walls
and other goofs. I'd have paid another grand going IN to have all double glazed windows, which had I known about would have been a no-brainer.
Live and Learn.....if you survive....
Thanks all....
Too much is never enough
