Calling All Electricians:

I went to turn on the backside light this evening and it was dead.
The usual go-to is the GFI breaker in my bathroom.
It would NOT RESET.
I did a few elementary things.
I flipped off than back ON the breaker in the outside panel. With OFF, the GFI would reset until the breaker was turned back ON.
I checked with an outlet tester. The 2 greens (all ok) go on for an instant than it pops off.
I pulled the outlet cover and NO aroma and NO visible charred wire.

I'll go into it tomorrow when I get moving AND have the advantage of daylight......I can kill the breaker and STILL see....and get my meter involved.

I think the KEY is that backyard light....might have some kind of issue, since it was NOT working for a while and I got it fixed......

In the meantime? ANY suggestions? If all the wires are secure, My FIRST INSTINCT is to swap to a new GFI. I'm told they 'wear out' after some unknown number of trips.......

The outlet itself is for 15amp BUT internally it is marked 20 amp.....
Too much is never enough
