I second that WOW. I have triode connected KT-120s in my PPP 6550 mono-blocks and wouldn't go back to 6550s if you paid me. My original intention in trying them was that they might hold up better (my amps run 6550s pretty hard). Twice now I've experienced one tube out of a matched quad of 6550s crapping out after 6 months or so. Thought these new tubes might hold up better. Hoped that they would sound as good. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that they sound much better (more arteculate bass, better sound-staging, more transparency and clarity). As for longevity, we shall see.
