Hi,
I'm offering for sale a Mk II Active Output board. This board is offered with several modifications. It has been modified to operate the tubes at a higher bias current as follows: larger PS current source heat sinks, bigger PS filter caps (7.8uF) and different value cathode resistor. Currently the unit is set-up for a bias current of 21.8mA and 125V on the plates (using 75R cathode resistors). It can be configured to run at 24mA with 50R cathode resistors (included). Of course it can also be returned to duty at 16mA (the original 82R cathode resistor will also be supplied). Other modifications are: tantalum grid-stoppers, IXTP01N100D plate load MOSFETs and larger value parafeed caps to restore bass response with the mods (0.47uF Cardas caps in parallel with the original 0.68uF Cardas caps). All of these mods improved the sound in my system and with my ears. I'm asking $485 or BO.
