of stereo shops and record stores compared to Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and even Bangkok. Admittedly, I didn't thoroughly search the city like I did with the other countries listed above.
A record store I did find only sold knockoffs of American labels. Visual inspection of these records showed distinct grooves, but I have no experience with the actual sound.(didn't buy any).
I did find an electronics area in the city with a few stereo shops but nothing like the other countries listed above. I have lost my maps, so I don't remember any locations. A google search for stereo shops in Seoul will help.
I cannot help you with jazz clubs, as I was only looking for hifi equipment and records. Sorry.
