Home Jazz Alley

From Louis Armstrong to Charlie Parker to the new greats of today, this is the place for Jazz!

Jazz from HDTT

I got Bags and Trane a few months ago.
Compared to my Atlantic CD, they came back from the dead to record it again at
Space Alien Recorders, the Download sounds SO Good!
Just got LeGrand Jazz, sounds amazing, from 1958, you feel you can hear Everything, so clear and relaxed sounding.
Phil Woods was never more inspired!
He gave Coltrane a little what-for!
Bill Evans Sunday at the Village Vangurard and Waltz for Debbie are by far the best versions I've heard, incl LP reissue and CD and SACD.
I got DSD 128 and 256 Downloads, but I'm sure these will sound great in any of the Formats HDTT offers.

I also got a Melos Ensemble Download of French Chamber Music, and there's a version of
The Miraculous Mandarin Suite with Philly/Ormandy that I used to have on LP that I'll get next time.
The Melos Ensemble of London was such a great group, on all Instruments.

Lots of great Jazz at HDTT, CDs and Downloads, Hi Res or not.
