Home Jazz Alley

From Louis Armstrong to Charlie Parker to the new greats of today, this is the place for Jazz!

RE: LOL. Worked a short tour with his National Jazz Ensemble.

You know, at this point I remember that it happened, but the details escape me.
He had a Septet, 4 horns, that rehearsed, but played no gigs.
( That I know of...)
Benny Green was the only player in it to become well known, nothing like the Personnel on the Gig you did!
At some point I knew he had called someone else ( on Bari ),
but later he called me again.
He may have moved away shortly after.
I May have overstated the Facts, but it's more fun that way.
"Chuck Israels Fired Me twice, and yet I perservere...."
Or not...
