Having an Earl Hines binge myself ...

the man was a force of nature. I was listening to his "Live at the
New School" on Chiaroscuro last night and found myself cheering loudly
along with the crowd. His version of "Boogie Woogie on the St. Louis
Blues" on that disc is just jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring, beyond-belief,
or whatever other superlative you can come up with.
