Mr Pink,
I don't know if there is a drop in Lowther replacement. I do know that the guys ar Beauhorn think that the Lowthers are not the perfect match for this design, I've asked this question myself. They do think, and I agree, that the new driver, sourced from France, is a MUCH better driver than the original Fostex used, which is why they now make the B2.3 with this driver (and some minor modifications as well).
