Yes it was a "double blind study with 28 subjects using music".The testing was performed by having subjects compare recordings of the musical passage through the compression drivers to the original unmodified piece of music. No significant difference would then mean that the subjects could not tell when the driver was in the chain and when it was not. In other words, within the limits of the resolution of the test, the reproductions from the drivers were all indistriguishable from the original.
