Re: Tannoy Buckingham (domestic model)

Hi Joel,

Until recently, I have been the happy owner of a pair of Tannoy Buckingham. I am not quite sure whether mine were the 'monitor' version or the 'domestic' version, but I should be able to give you at least some information about their specs from memory:

The 10" dual-concentric mid/high driver works from 350 hz and up. The crossover point between the mid-cone and the horn is 3000 Hz. All slopes are 3rd order Butterworth.

The two 12" woofers are mounted in parallel and works straight down to 35 Hz (-6 dB at 30 Hz).

The volume of the mid/high enclosure is 30 liters, whereas the volume of the bass cabinet is 200 liters.

Sensitivity is about 96 dB/1 watt and power handling is 150 watts for boths sections. All magnets are of the ferrite-type.

I do not have the T/S-parameters for the drivers.

The mid/high sections is very clear and natural sounding, while the bass is slightly shy considering that you have got two 12" for each side. All in all you have definately got a great pair of speakers!

Hope this helps...

Regards
Peter K.
