Re: Fantastic!

Hi Mats,

Thanks for the kind words!

> How would you describe the high end of the Oris?

I have tried several amps on the Oris/MD3 combo, and I like the high end very much, its very airy and sweet. In my opinion there is no need for a tweeter. But actually, with the amp I am using now - an eAR Enigma from Acoustic Reality, based on Ice Power modules from B&O(which I find truly great!) - the highs might be slightly rolled of.

Yes, I use the Crown that Bert sells

I have not had a chance to measure the system, but it integrates excellently. Everything seems to come from the Oris horns, but if I turn off the bass amp, it only takes a fraction of a second to notice:-) - immediately the sound gets 'thin'.

Due to the room dimensions, I have standing waves at about 30 Hz and at about 70-80 Hz (and at doubles of those), so at times a bass note seem to 'live' a little to long, before it 'dies out' if you understand what I mean. But it is not something that I can't live with:-)

Actually, I have the tightest punch in the bass right now, I have heard at my home - or ever from a home system (remember that here in Denmark horns are very rare!)

Regards
Peter
