Consider the following:
You have a long, narrow room (10 meters x 4 meters, or 33’ x 12.5’).
You have a 3.15 meter (10 feet) long, STRAIGHT horn. You put the driver/back chamber in the corner and let the horn run along the long side of the room, directed against the listener sitting about 6 meters away. Now, the horn MOUTH will be adjacent to the long side wall and rest on the floor, but 10 strictly speaking 10 feet away from the corner (it can’t get any closer to the corner, because of its length and because its straight).Shall such a horn be categorized as a 1/4 space (on floor against wall) horn, or a 1/8 space (in a corner) horn?
