Hello again Tom!

Here are the measurements from the " shootout ."

Actually, Tom, not only did I "look at the numbers very carefully" but I provided a link to them so that others could see them as well. I would encourage others to look at the data and make up their own minds, rather than to have you or I put our own spin on it. Personally, I love horns but I've also always been quick to point out that realistically, it's difficult to hit the bottom octave with a basshorn 'cause they just have to be so large. My comments are more a reflection of this opinion than an evaluation of any particular product offering.

Looking at the impedance curve of the LAB horn, one can see peaks indicating reactive impedance. This means it isn't purely resistive, and so it cannot have zero degress of phase shift in those regions. I wouldn't expect any other sort of behaviour, so this isn't surprising. But you seem to be indicating otherwise here. Are you saying that your basshorn has no phase shift even in the regions where there are peaks in the impedance curve, which clearly indicate changes in reactive and resistive impedance?

What sort of digital processing are you doing for the basshorn? I see impedance peaks at 35, 50 and 80Hz, so I expect some movement of phase at these points and in between them. So I assume that since you attempt to time align the system, you must have a delay algorithm that accounts for this as well, yes?
