Hi Roger,I have noticed that you have added plans for a folded horn to be used with the 18†PD1850 on your nice speakerplans website. I relation to that I have a few questions I hope you will answer:
1. Would you recommend the 1850 Folded Horn with a PD1850 for hifi use? (Of course I like to play loud at times, but I would like a home system to excel at lower levels too:-))
2. I consider a bass horn to be combined with an Oris 150 horn which means that the bass horn should be crossed at 160 Hz with 12 dB/octave. Can you cross the 1850 Folded Horn/PD1850 at this frequency and slope without compromise?
3. I would like to get a bit lower than 50 hz. I do not expect 20 Hz at all, but f3 around 35-40 Hz would be great! Can this be accomplished either by electronic compensation or by extending the flair? And which of these paths would you recommend? (Or will positioning of the horns very close to the back wall give me what I want?).
