I haven't really done extensive listening to Valencias as Stephen has a pair that he uses for his office system for background music. From the comments, I'd tend to agree that the 19s have deeper base and overall just more of a good thing.
One of their big things is raising them up according to Great Plains. I agree and did raise my 19s as well with casters and skirts before I found that.
On prices, oh yeah. I'd been looking for quite a while and nearly got a pair with some wear and perhaps a bad woofer for $1,400. The guy I bought mine from had a bunch and I picked up a nice restored pair with GPA reconed woofers and tangerine compression drivers. Pricey at $3,500, but fair for the value and a deal with current prices.
