There's nothing wrong with JBL Pro quality. If there was they wouldn't have retained their dominant pro-sound market share. What changed after Harmon took over is that JBL Pro and JBL consumer became different divisions. JBL consumer is no worse quality than most, but if you're looking for pro-sound performance from any consumer grade speaker you're not going to find it.
