Saturation tends to be a non-issue. When it does happen it's usually because the coil wire gauge is too small, which not only leads to saturation but also high DCR. I size my inductors appropriately, and have never had one saturate. Most of my designs are pro-sound speakers, run at power and SPL levels far higher than a home installation would ever approach.
