I can't tell from the picture exactly what the configuration is. However, I know from experience that venting a rear chamber into the throat with a bass horn doesn't work very well. Ive tried it, and got better results with a sealed chamber. I do vent the rear chamber into the throat on some of my midbass horns, but not with any that have a lower than 125Hz Fc. I've found that when the vented chamber Fb is an octave or so lower than the horn Fc that the configuration works. With even a fairly small bass horn that has a 40Hz Fc you can't fit a 20Hz Fb ported rear chamber into a box of practical size, and if you were to go large enough to do that a larger sealed chanber horn with a lower Fc works much better.
