Place various electronic items such as RPIs, loose CDs, jewel boxes, wall warts, etc. on the same shelves the speakers sit on.
All that crap will buzz and rattle when the speakers play loud passages, particularly loud vocals, and drive you nuts thinking your expensive speakers are damaged.
