The "surrounds" of the Bs I have are paper -- If by 'accordion' surrounds you mean something like those on, e.g., the 604E, I don't think those are original to the unsuffixed/original or the 604B.

Note to myself: I should take some photos of my 604Bs sometime... I haven't disinterred them for a long time; I should make sure they're not decomposing in storage! :-o
