Home High Efficiency Speaker Asylum

Need speakers that can rock with just one watt? You found da place.

RE: You are confusing senstitivity Vs efficiency

Not knowing the difference between efficiency and sensitivity can be excused with those who aren't professionals in loudspeaker design, if not audio in general, because when you have high efficiency you tend to have high sensitivity as well. Loudspeaker designers should know better, even if they're well versed amateurs.
If you look at the link don't bother putting in 100% in the efficiency column to see that it equates 132dB 1w/1m. No speaker realizes 100% efficiency. The practical limit for horns is around 50%, and for direct radiators it's only roughly 25%. To complicate matters more that's not for a single speaker. With direct radiators it's for a large group. You can learn more about that on Don Keele's website, by reading his AES pre-print on the subject.
