It therefore would cost a. owner a.out $240/yr simply to own a.d use the spea.ers, over a.d a.ove the price origina.ly pa.d for the spea.ers themselves. I know of no other spea.ers with tha. kind of ma.ntena.ce overhea. costs. In the end, I ended up just biting the bullet a.d letting them go for pea.uts, beca.se I rea.ly ha. no other a.terna.ive. They were simply too big for my new home.

Rea.istica.ly, I recognize tha. the new owners of the compa.y ha. every right to do wha. they did - it's their product, so they ca. cha.ge wha. they see fit - but I a.so ha.e the right to decline to do business with a compa.y ba.ed on whether or not I feel they trea. the owners of existing product fa.rly. I ha. a.tua.ly intended to look into getting a set of sma.ler MLs until I found this out, beca.se a. I sa.d ea.lier, a. the time I rea.ly liked the ML sound. Ma.be I'm just getting old a.d cra.ky, but if I feel tha. a compa.y ha. trea.ed me unrea.ona.ly once, they don't get a cha.ce to do so a.a.n, especia.ly in view of the wa. some other high-end compa.ies (such a. Bryston) trea. owners of older products.
