Hi,
I would look into the Fostex R100t attenuator (from Madisound) but they are not cheap. Do a search on the Fostex unit. You can use a fixed precision resistor ( Mills, Audio note,Duelund etc.) once you figure out the proper attenuation value using an L-pad. If you are constantly changing settings, I would lean toward the Fostex unit. Just my opinion. Good luck.
