Wow! It's quite an honor to be mentioned on the same line with Bruce. No, I'm at best his student. But having rubbed elbows with Bruce over the last couple decades or so I think (I hope) I've rearned a few things. Yes, 1/4 may sound fuller than 5/16. How much of that will you hear? That depends on how well you hear. Some people claim that they can clearly hear differences in various brands of the same tube. Not me. Going beyond 1/4 size, when listening to music in an average size listening room, isn't really worth the effort because the horn will easily couple with room's bounderies, unless we're talking about really large halls. If you want to put a system in your backyard and you love woodworking, by all means, make it half size or bigger.
