FlyCast,
Depending on the volume of your room and the woofer choice for your mid bass horn, you should be able to get by with a 300b amp. Your spl requirements / listening distance are not too demanding. Another fly in the ointment is the crossover components / frequency, slope etc. and the possibility you may have to pad down your midrange / tweeter to meet a less efficient mid bass horn. You still need power to control the woofer, more so on loud dynamic classical works. All the SET power tubes have their charms, but do sound different. You will have to firm up a complete horn system design and see what power is needed. More power is usually better. If you bi or tri amp your system your choice of power is much easier. Lots of people think they can get by with "flea" power when in reality their system may require much more power to sound proper. There is no easy answer to your question. Too many variables.
