I have listened the Sonist speakers many times at Jack Elliano's ( Electra-print )house many times over the years and they sound very good for the price. However, you have to view the speakers as part of a complete system. I have heard these speakers with Jack's monoblock 45 amps, 300b amps and 211 amps - all SET and not cheap but all sounded excellent!!
Jack's room is a converted garage and about 20' x 20' in size and the listening distance is about 16' with the speakers about 12' apart. You may be able to fit 2 people into the sweet spot and sound ok but like most high resolution speakers your ideal sweet spot is a one person affair.
