Hey Fredyi,
I will immediately admit you have better testing abilities, instruments and experience than me and accept your conclusions as the gospel.
I'm kinda embarrassed to admit it now, but my conclusions were based on tests done with CD generated 1/3 octave sine wave and warbled sine wave test signals. I was careful enough to use two different test CDs and two different CD players. Measurements were made with a Radio Shack analog SPL meter and another meter a friend brought.
Unlike you I love very deep bass. After sex and black beans and rice pipe organs with 32 Hz or better yet 16Hz pipes are God's greatest gifts to mankind.
I dream of an America where a chicken can cross the road without having it's motives questioned.
