I agree with badman that the frequency extremes are the great problem with fullrangers, but fullrangers make some of the most excellent upper bass/midrange/lower treble drivers in existence. I use fullrangers from 160Hz to 7kHz (nominally) in a triamplified horn system I cobbled together, and the glorious midrange of the system still blows me away.
I dream of an America where a chicken can cross the road without having it's motives questioned.
