RE: Questions re speaker support stands

My listening seats (as you can see in the images gallery) are slightly tall. I wanted to get the drivers at about ear level, especially since the Canterburys are toed off-axis between 14 & 15 degrees already.

Also wanted it to sound even more open and alive, both of which happened.

Didn't love the Tannoy feet either, though they aren't bad at all.

The stands are nothing special, except they get out of the way of the music.

Two horizontal 4x4s joined together. The black vertical frame simply sits around the horizontal 4x4s to hide their appearance. Doesn't actually touch them.

The Tannoys are on Grand Prix Audio Apex footers, which includes the GPA silicon nitride balls with levelers.

The 4x4s are on Herbie's decoupling footers. As might be obvious, I'm not a fan of spikes for any audio application.
