Oh course 20-20K +/- 0 is impossible. Maybe I should of started with saying 16-21KHz +/- 3db. But that doesn't change the outcome of this discussion. I am just wondering how many drivers are needed between 20-400Hz to achieve the fastest, tightest, and most accurate bass possible. My dedicated listening area is 20 by 40 with 11 foot ceilings. The audio equipment is currently 4 separate 2-channel amps with an active crossover. If I need to add another 1 or 2 2-channel amps, so be it. I listen to everything from soft vocals to LOUD rock and roll. Cabinets can be and will be the correct size, type and volume for the driver that is ultimately selected. I am fully expecting to need multiple cabinets in order to do the job right. I anticipate different cabinet designs for each bass to mid-bass driver based upon the wavelength range that it is responsible for generating. I OWN a cabinet shop, building enclosures is not a problem.
