For those of us who are amateur speaker designers and builders I believe we should remember that we are hobbyists and design for whatever provides us the greatest pleasure within the constraints of our finances and skill sets. It is in no way neccessary for us to "prove" by means of double blind tests, which unquestionably introduce perception problems of their own, that we can scientifically hear all the differences for which we design and build our speakers. The most important test, perhaps the only important test, is whether or not the speakers we design and build consistently provide us and the friends and relatives with whom we listen a highly gratifying, emotionally and intellectually satisfying musical experience.
Also I feel compelled to say that compared to high resolution digital media or LPs MP3 certainly does not sound good.
I dream of an America where a chicken can cross the road without having it's motives questioned.
