I have always found it satisfactory to use high purity OFC copper wire without excessive inductance or capacitance to make up my speaker cables and use the same wire to internally to wire the speakers. I don't know that I could present scientifically sound reasons for this choice (except avoiding high inductance or capacitance which make the wire an unwanted tone control), but after about forty years of building and sometimes designing speakers this is what I've found works best for me.
I dream of an America where a chicken can cross the road without having it's motives questioned.
