RE: Midrange - cones vs Compression drivers?

Hi Thomas,

As you know I prefer cones, thus this may have to do with the horns I have tried for a compression driver. One new compression driver that really seems interesting though is the rather new 2" B&C DCM50. The DCM stands out by having a diaphragm made of paper. I would really like to try this one on a large conical or LeCleach flared horn. I believe that Bill Woods (RCA-fan) likes this driver quite a bit. The driver also comes in a 'coax' version (DCX50), but given my experiences with the BMS 4592ND coax compression driver, I think I would prefer the DCM version.

Best regards
Peter
