RE: DTQWT

Hi Tom,

I haven't built the DTQWT, but I happen to live fairly close to Troels and some months ago I had a chance to listen briefly to his DTQWT speakers. They sounded very good indeed. The sound is very natural and articulate while still being open and clear. The integrtion between the mid and the tweeter is seamless - I certainly could not hear the crossover point. The bass seemed is fast and punchy, but may not go super low. All in all the DTQWT speakers shared mady of the qualities that a good horn system can produce (I have a large fully horn loaded rig myself): Great presence, openness and dynamics - although the DTQWT cannot play as insanely loud as a REAL horn rig:-)

I should add that my listening impression should be talen with some caution, since it was brief and only involved music material unknown to me.

I should also add, that Troels is a very knowledgable guy, that knows A LOT about loudspeakers. He has put a substantial amount of work in the development of these speakers, and that the DTQWT in his own words is the best speakers he has made so far.

Just for the record, I have no financial relation with Troels etc...

Best regards
Peter
