I can't tell you what amp to use with the Hartfield. I just wanted to tell you I envy you the speaker and the plunge into Mono. I did the very same thing with a "heritage" mono sysxtem I put together back in the early 1970s. It lead me to understand why some audiophiles were reluctant to go with stereo when it arrived. By the way I use a pair of Cary Audio 2a3 monoblock amps to drive the midrange in my triamplified speakers. It sounds wonderful. I understand that many 2a3 SETs do.
I dream of an America where a chicken can cross the road without having it's motives questioned.
