RE: BEST cone driver for specific conical horn?

Thanks for responding! I haven't tried Lowthers, but I used to have the top of the line AER MD3's in Oris 150 horn, and the AER's are close to Lowthers construction wise. The AERs certainly did some things very well. The were great on acoustic music and had super micro detail and transparency. However, they got somewhat 'thin' sounding when playing rock music, and I got tired of that, since I mostly play rock. I also constantly feared to destroy the drivers...

Then I had the 2" BMS 4592 ND's in different horns. The BMS coax'es certainly had all the dynamics, impact, and SPL you would ever want. However, I never got them to sound as natural as the AER's with for instance human voices and I never got to tame the treble that to me sounded a bit too harsh.

I'm sort of hunting the best from both worlds....

I have thought about the 18Sound 6nd410 to - as well as the sealed back 8NM610 (see link).
