Home High Efficiency Speaker Asylum

Need speakers that can rock with just one watt? You found da place.

...fullrange drivers loaded in front horns

You will lose the top end of a cone loaded on a horn.
The mass is too great to load past 8kHz.
This is because the throat of the horn is much too large, relative to the higher frequencies.
You have to have a throat diameter which is relative to the highest frequency to be reproduced. You can get away with a 2" throat to 14Kz but directivity will suffer.
This is why compression drivers exist.. big motor, small mass, small opening.
RCA was the master of cone/horn drivers- 7khz was about the best they could do.... with a phasing plug on a big magnet 6" driver.
