Well, they look a lot better than ones I made. Your hired!
I would clear lacquer them in a satin finish lacquer--pay for the new paint-- you have put too much work into them to scrimp on paint.
Also top grade paint will make or break the finish. i never use "old stuff"
Besides, you can paint it another color later if you wish.
Be sure to sand down to #220 "Wet or Dry" carborundum paper.
Sand in small circular motions, using natural light viewed at an angle to be sure scratches are gone, the use a straight line sander ( or by hand) and go with the grain as finished surface.
Be sure your paint guy uses a tack rag, and there is no dust inside enclosure that might blow back, and ruin the surface.
ONLY use lacquer-- polyurethane makes it look like a layer of plastic is on surface.
I hope you enjoy them-- this is one of the few speakers I have built, that I have kept.
Rent "Open Range" ( Kevin Costner) an listen to gunshots at the end of movie.
It is this frequency range (80Hz to 150Hz) , that makes this design shine.
Best, Bill
