Hi hpc,
I use bass corner horns which are about a path length of 8 or 9 feet behind Oris 150 wide range horns. By using the time alignment feature of a DEQX PDC 2.6 digital crossover and time-phase-room correction component I get very good time alignment between the two and excellent speed or transient response from both including in the crossover region.
It's not an inexpensive route to follow, but it sure works.
