I know that Mr. Welborne has moved to the Midwest due to personal issues.
I was not aware of shipping issues. In my case the line stage was a little late, but I am very happy with the units- especially the noise floor which is extremely low with my 105dB horns.
He is a very nice person and I hope all your issues are resolved. I am a Class A devotee, so I entered the triode systems on the recommendations of friends, and do support the product.
Thank you for your comments- and I hope you get your Star chiefs.
As an aside, I heard the 45 tubes vs the 300b's, and felt they were a bit smoother. But, I wanted the 5 watts.
