add some mass loading? -
Not much
if you can divulge, whats a good guesstimate plan for sizing and gapping practical v-vent? what do you think happened in that fellow's pretty v-vent enclosure which was adjustable and had wider vent at bottom than Hawaii? -more hit? - waste of volume?
Well if the vent becomes very large, the box begins to act like a rearhorn that is too short, with a very big front chamber.. thus added "punch" at the expense of a dip at 150Hz. If the vent is not split, you get a bit more hit. Splitting the vent just cuts down some resonances in the box, at the expense of output
what does one want in a curve to play good sounding cello and bowed bass? - many speakers sound awful and can't pass this test (k-horn?)
The Cogent bass driver and horn.
