Re: How does one input At in AJ-Horn for tapered BLH which have no coupling chamber?

“assuming At ~zero looks significantly different in simulation than picking At around Sd.

what is the best way to look at/interpret and define rear load horn which taper for accurate AJ horn simulations? without confidence, there is not much point in simulation.”

1: At is dependent on BL
2: BL and mass set Fo
3: L remains constant

By increasing BL and mass you can make a longer horn with the same mouth area.
If At is = to Sd you can vary fs to load horn.
As the mass gets lower the higher the cut-off of the horn.
If a high frequency horn, directivity is affected by At, hence BL and Mass ratio.
You can use the front chamber as a filter in a rearload horn to shorten horn to a degree.
I have found AJ is around 80% accurate.
