Mr. Joppa's post is very good. I did not pass it by…but I have not done impedance correction with a tube amp, but others much more learned than me, have pointed out the benefits. Perhaps when I get my Welborne's back from Peru, i can learn this.

Also, I am aware it was a 2220, which is similar to a D130 except longer copper VC, and no metal dust cap.

I commented that a D130(60g) would be forced by the horn to go lower.
The heavier mass 2220(70g), 2226(98g). 2225 (105) all would have the same low cutoff, but with ever less midrange content. Note that a penny is about 3 grams.

The original l post revolves around a D130, and how to get more bass. I like this speaker, and presenting all the ways I know to get it to go low.

Of course there is the TQWT... but that is another day.
